Actually it's only proposal scene. But anyone who likes Scotty & Kevin love this part. I want to be asked by Luke to marry him!!!!! That's very lovely and touching scene. I'll never forget this scene.

When I watched this scene, I don't know why, but I was very concerned about Luke's hand. He put his right hand beside his face, then on the couch, next is beside his face... It bothered me first.
Anyway, same as other people who loves them, I watched this clip many times. I love this scene though somehow Luke's hand still pulls my attention.

Also I love their lines.

Kevin: And I realise how lucky I am because I get to come home to someone who's kind and caring, and who changes the light bulbs, and..... Marry me.
Scotty: What?
Kevin: I mean it. I don't wanna wait. I don't wanna... I wanna make this official.
Scotty: Because I changed the light bulbs?
Kevin: No, no, well, yeah, kind of. Because, Scotty, that's who you are. I'm completely, completely in love with you. I even love the things about you that I hate. Because you make me feel like I don't have to be anyone other than who I am. And to me, that feels like family. And that's what I want us to be. I want us to be a family because that never ends. I'm doing this all wrong, Scotty, I am asking you, will you please marry me?
Scotty: Yes. Yes, Kevin, I will marry you.

And the song, Warm Whispers by Missy Higgins matches to this scene quite well.

A chat w/Luke MacFarlane...

He had them at mango salsa.

When Luke MacFarlane's endearing character of Scotty sat down to dinner for the first time with the Walker clan on "Brothers & Sisters," it was a big outdoor party scene where Sally Field's Nora had just humiliated her late husband's mistress Holly (Patricia Wettig). The tension was incredibly high until Scotty piped up and asked, "Is this salsa mango?"

Scotty Wandell and Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) had instant chemistry from the minute the financially struggling waiter-turned-chef walked into his law office on a legal matter. He cut through Kevin's veneer with quirky humor and charm and you knew he had Kevin's heart when he bit into a red velvet cupcake and smiled at the end of one of their early episodes..

"My whole experience on the show started off as just a few episodes and it's just become more and more and more and I'm so grateful for that," Luke told me Monday night when we chatted before the start of the "A Conversation With Brothers & Sisters" event at the Television Academy in North Hollywood.

Luke, 28, was among the 12 cast members who participated as he was recently promoted from recurring character to full-fledged series regular: "They are making a regular for season three. It's very, very nice. We all know in television it's hard to get a gig that lasts for a long time so when the agent calls up and says, 'You're guaranteed these number of episodes you feel very, very lucky."

Luke, who studied drama at Julliard, was previously best-known for his role as Pvt. Frank "Dim" Dumphy in the series "Over There." The Canadian actor had never given any interviews about his personal life until discussing his sexuality for the first time in an interview with the Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail a few weeks ago 2008. He decided to share that not only is he playing a gay man on TV, but he is a gay man in life.

""It's been relatively simple for me," he said of the increased spotlight. "I'll say that I decided to do that interview, I decided to answer those questions in an effort to make my life simpler and that's going to contunue to be my motto. So, I'll have to say, it hasn't been that hot a light on me at all."

Even though through much of show's first season the writers had Kevin struggling with commitment issues and go on to have relationships with a closeted soap actor (Jason Lewis) and a minister (Eric Winter), Scotty had been a fan favorite from his first scene and audiences wanted to see he and Kevin together.

Said Luke: "Well, I do know that the fans had a lot to do with Scotty staying around as long as he has so I'm grateful for them."

I mention to him that now that Scotty is getting more airtime, the fans now want to get to know Luke himself a little better. He laughed a bit nervously and said, "In time."

We look forward to it.

" Double Negative"

Again, why Kevin always thinks something by only his side? I know Kevin doesn't mean such selfish things but it looks like he doesn't respect Scotty's feeling, I guess. But this time, Scotty mentions it's his problem not Kevin's. I like his way of thinking.

Kevin: Look, I think I figured out a way to solve your problems.
Scotty: Um, you're gonna teach me to deveine shrimp with one hand?
Kevin: Your insurence problems.
Scotty: If it involves me not having to take a third job, I'm all for it.
Kevin: Why don't we file for domestic partnership?
Scotty: Excuse me?
Kevin: It's so simple. All we have to do is fill out some forms, get them notarized, and that is that. We're then recognised as a couple by the state of California. And that entitles you to insurance from my firm. That's medical, dental, vision, dependent life, accidental death and dismemberment....
Scotty: Death and dismemberment? Yippee!
Kevin: What's with the sarcasm?
Scotty: Nothing. I said I was gonna take care of it and I will, okay, Kevin? It's my problem. Not yours.

And they come back to Kevin's flat. Then they have a cute conversation again.

Kevin: I thought I was doing a good thing.
Scotty: You were doing a practical thing.
Kevin: Well, what's wrong with that?
Scotty: Kevin, for us, domestic partnership is it. You know, our only legal option, our version of marriage. For now at least. And at the risk of sounding like a twelve-year-old girl, I want my wedding to be special. “Practical” isn't enough of a reason.

Kevin: It is romantic. But at the risk of sounding like a thirty-something straight guy. I don't know if I'm ready for that or if I ever will be.
Scotty: I'm not asking you to be.

And also my favourite line, Scotty says "We're boyfriends, not clones"

"Separation Anxiety"

Actually there is no Scotty, but Kevin talks to Scotty on the phone. And he calls Scotty, "Sweetie"

Oh, Luke. He appears less than one minutes. Actually the main reason that I watched this film is to see Luke Macfarlane as Bruce Kinsey though, and he has only a few lines. In the deleted scene, he swims.

"Compromises"

This is another cute episode. I like the fact that Kevin wants to be thought gentle and funny guy by Scotty's friends but he really can't do it by nature.

Scotty: Okay, I know my friends weren't the warmest last night.
Kevin: I should've worn a parka.
Scotty: They were just being protective.
Kevin: From what? Me?
Scotty: You have to admit, our history has been a little bit checkered.
Kevin: I'm not solely responsible for the checkering, okay?

Scotty: They'll warm up to you. You're different. They're more bohemian.
Kevin: Come on, admit it. They just think I'm boring.
Scotty: No, they just think you're ..... uptight.
Kevin: I'm not uptight.
Scotty: Okay. Whatever you need to tell yourself.

The last of this conversation, Scotty says "At least they think you're cute." I love his saying. I would love to hear it from Scotty!

Sarah: Come on, Kevin. We're Walkers. Let's go do what Walkers do best!
Kevin: Get drunk? Okay.

Ah, Sarah, I love you. I like Kevin & Sarah's conversation. Sarah is my favourite role in the Walkers.

Sarah: Do you want Scotty's friends to know what a warm, caring, fan guy Kevin Walker is?
Kevin: Yes.
Sarah: Then drink up and get stupid with me.

"GET STUPID WITH ME." That's very Sarah. It reminds me a scene from Season 1 Episode 9, Sarah, Tommy & Kevin went to road trip and dropped an army bar, there Sarah behaved exactly like her.

Scotty: This is incredibly sweet, but I think I should probably put him out of his misery.

They are the cutest couple ever!
I also like Kevin & Sarah's conversation. Actually Matthew can sing much much better than this singing.

Brothers & Sisters S2E11

"The Missionary Imposition"

This episode is one of my favourites, probably stays in my top five for a long time.

If I were Scotty, I wouldn't know whether I feel glad when Kevin tells about Jason's visitation. I don't want to be outside of this issue, but at the same time I don't want to see them together. Scotty has a little worry, I mean he was a little upset that Jason is going to drop by their place, but he loves Kevin very much, so he pretends he never feels about bad.

Scotty plans to come back home earlier because he wants to be involved with their party. I love Luke's facial expression when Kevin and Jason are talking about their relationship.

Jason: You wanna know why I did't call?
Kevin: Why?
Jason: I thought it would make it worse.
Kevin: Worse?!
Jason: I missed you too much, okay? I though if I could just focus on where I was and what I was trying to do that...

Luke is very talented, gorgeous and cute. In the storyline, I especially like Scotty's jealousy. I really understand his feeling.

Kevin: You know, you know what that is? That's the worst excuse I've ever heard. You made me feel like we were through. Over. Like I was some materialistic guy you had no time for.
Scotty: And you guys have nothing to resolve, right.
Kevin: Stay out of this for one minute.
Scotty: No. Why don't you just ask him why he came home? I'm sure you wanna know.
Jason: Oh, it wasn't for him, if that's what you're thinking. He dumped me, that's when I found my spiritual strength. Finally!
Kevin: So God won after all.
Jason: Yes, Kevin. In a contest between you and God, God won.
Kevin: Great. So everything worked out for the best.
Jason: Yeah. Perfect.
Scotty: Well, I'm really glad we had that talk.

I don't know if Scotty feels exactly as he said though, at least he finds out their relationship is over. That's good for him. Whole this scene, Luke shows very good facial expression. I love his acting! And I also love his voice. If he would whisper in my ear, I would melt.

Scotty: OK, If you're not gonna talk about what happened tonight, then I'm gonna go out.
Kevin: Nothing to talk about. You ambushed my tea party.

Kevin: What do you want me to do, Scotty?
Scotty: Be honest with me. If you're still in love with Jason McCallister...
Kevin: No, I am not in love with Jason McCallister! Why do you have to be so jealous?
Scotty: Because if you could see the two of you together,
Kevin: If you don't trust me, leave!
Scotty: Fine!!
Kevin: Oh, God! Where are you going?
Scotty: I'm leaving! Isn't that what you want?
Kevin: Yeah, it is. Have a great night!

I love this quarrel. How cute Scotty is!!!!!! But if I were told "If you don't trust me, leave!" by someone whom I love, I would be very sad and hurt.
Anyway, also I love the making up scene in the car next morning. Scotty is shamed what he's done last night, and Luke's facial expression is perfect! I can't think of any other better things than this.

Kevin: Wow, I love what you've done with the place.
Scotty: Yeah, well, at least it's mine.
Kevin: I'm sorry.
Scotty: No, I shouldn't have barged in on your tea party.
Kevin: Yeah, enough with the shellfish now. But you know, when you walked in, I was secretly so proud.
Scotty: Of what?
Kevin: Of you. Of how genuine you are and how crazy and honest and...
Scotty: Jealous.
Kevin: mmm..., So how do I make this better?
Scotty: I don't want you to see him any more.
Kevin: Even if I did, it wouldn't mean anything.
Scotty: I know. You're gonna run into him at family stuff.
Kevin: Yeah.
Scotty: I just don't want you making plans with him.
Kevin: Okay. Promise.
Scotty: Really?
Kevin: I don't think you get how much I want us to be together.
Scotty: God, now I feel like an idiot for asking.
Kevin: Why? It only makes me want you even more.

Wow! How hot their kiss is! And also it's very sweet.

Kevin: You know what? I actually do have to go to work, and I don't wanna get caught getting busy in a 1970's Ranchero, as beautiful as it is.
Scotty: I'll see you when you get home?
Kevin: Okay.

And the last kiss makes this scene perfect.
