Kevin & Scotty, as a couple

Lately, I frequently watch Season 1 & 2 and feel a little sad because....

I was very happy when Luke had become a regular, because I thought I would be able to see him in most episodes and probably have good scenes with Kevin a lot. But in the fact, after becoming a regular, basically Scotty was involved with the Walkers in almost all episodes when he was there. Only a few episodes were set for them as a couple. When he was a guest star, in Season 1 & 2, they had their own stories.

Also when Kevin & Scotty got married, I was pretty happy about that, but thinking about Scotty's position in Brothers & Sisters, he became a Julia a little. Of course you cannot avoid the relation to spouse's family though, before they have gotten married, Kevin & Scotty's story was almost independent. Most of the time their stories were ended with between them, but lately they are not isolated any more. Honestly speaking, I actually like the involvement of Sarah's though, I assume it's too much involvement of other Walker family members' at the moment.

For some reason, I don't like Nora much. She is controlling, manipulative, self-centered, suffocating... Because Sally Field is such a good actress, whenever Nora becomes hectic, I feel very unpleasant. I guess I should apologise to Nora's fan.

I respect ABC for the reason that they have been broadcasting a gay couple as regular casts for the first main TV station and scripted their relationship, kissing and marriage. On the other hand, the story goes to a different direction where I haven't expected. I hope they will change their mind in the coming fourth season.

As a couple, Kevin & Scotty used to be an ideal couple to me, but unfortunately Scotty is described as a very saint by script writers. I like gentle Scotty though, I think he needs more humanity, I mean, Scotty is too much saint. Sometimes he gets angry but he changes his mind soon and apologises to Kevin or forgives him, even though Kevin is the one who should apologise to Scotty.

Look back on Season 3

I usually don't like to write a bad thing which might hurt someone. But since I reckon not so many people are reading this blog, it would be okay perhaps...

I was quite disappointed with the third season finale. It's not only the thing where Scotty didn't show up much but the storyline itself. How could they make such an idiot storyline? Actually I expected this feeling because of some sneak peeks though, it was worse than I expected.

To tell the truth, I don't like most of their storylines in the third season. For instance Kevin works for Robert, Kitty and Robert's story, Ryan and etc. Kitty wasn't that bad at the beginning, but now she is like, how can I explain, something like I don't want to talk about. Also the ending of this episode, it was totally unacceptable. What was that chorus? Writers should listen to audience.

Honestly I'd like to think it will be better in the fourth season for Luke's sake.

The 2009 AfterElton Hot 100

3. Luke MacFarlane

Rank last year: 3

The twinkling blue eyes of our #3 entry have inspired AfterElton.com readers to come together every Sunday night hoping to get even just a glimpse of those dimples on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters.

It was on B&S that readers first fell in love with this Canadian-born actor who portrays half of the show’s gay supercouple and one of the only same-sex male couples on television. Luke is Scotty Wandell to Matthew Rhys’ Kevin Walker and together last fall, they had the first primetime gay wedding on U.S. television between regularly recurring characters. On top of that, they have the unusual distinction of being the only functional relationship on the entire show. Score one for gay marriage!

While AfterElton.com readers are adamant that there’s still just not enough of Luke on the show, the shy, out-and-proud actor keeps himself busy by having recently starred in the Canadian miniseries Iron Road as well as on stage in The Jazz Age as F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Luke also inspired many with his decision to come out last April, which propelled him to the 3# spot on last year’s list. Who knows? If Brothers & Sisters gives Scotty and Kevin a bit more screen time next season, a certain Canadian might just come out on top!

"Mexico: Kevin, I know you."

This is the last scene where they are together! Too short.
Actually the story wasn't interesting, sorry. I didn't expect much because I saw some sneak peeks, but still I thought much better than this. Do writers know about how we feel? They should survey more.
I don't know if we can expect the fourth season. At least I hope there are many Kevin & Scotty scenes.

Scotty: Kevin, I know you. You're gonna sit across from me at some fancy restaurant and all you're gonna be thinking about is if your family is okay. Kevin. I'll be here when you get back. That's what we're celebrating, right?

This time, again, Scotty is a saint. Although I understand that Scotty knows Kevin well, I wanted them having a fantastic memorial anniversary moment. As Scotty says, if they've gone to a fancy dinner Kevin wouldn't be able to stop thinking about his family. So probably it was a good decision for them. I'd like to think so.

Matthew Rhys in the show

"Matthew Rhys in Rachael Ray Show"
http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/matthew-rhys/
It was aired on the 7th of May, 2009.
His way of talking is absolutely cute. He tries to answer honestly but sometimes it's a little difficult to answer then he shows a little confused face, that's so adorable. Anyway how come she talks so much? Matthew sometimes can't finish his talk. I really wanted to know about his thought of the best kisser!
Also it's only for online, there is another interview. Backstage: Matthew Rhys's Dream Meal. I believe it's taken on the same day.
Check them out!

Will the Walkers See Their Brother Again?
Matthew Rhys talks about the finale of "Brothers and Sisters."
Matthew Rhys was on Good Morning America promoting the season finale, the 6th of May, 2009. Kong says he looks a bit nervous as you can tell from his hands in his pockets.

Brothers & Sisters S3E23

"Let's Call the Whole Thing Off: Scotty & Sarah"

It's a very good scene, Scotty is with Sarah, but it's too short!
Kevin is with Robert and Kitty. Personally I don't like the storyline that Kevin works for Robert, but it'll probably finish soon, hopefully.

Many people mention about Nora is a good and an ideal mother, but it's not for me. I always feel she is very controlling, and I think she is selfish. She cares her children very much, I understand that but she has no right to manipulate them as she wants. Whenever I see her enthusiasm for her kids I feel uncomfortable. Also I don't understand what Kitty is thinking. In the former episode, at the Julia's farewell party, when Julia wanted to make a toast, she accused Kevin as an interrupter, and in this episode I assume she is the person who would be rebuked, but she yells that he is the person who is screeching. But gentle Kevin says "But I am the lucky one, 'cos you can't rid of me."

Anyways next week episode is the Season Finale. Happily they announced about a fourth season. I can't wait already, LOL.
